DUNDUN PASTA CERAMICS AND PORCELAIN TATES

DunDun putty for fixing ceramic and porcelain tiles is a new FCC technology. The product is a polymeric compound that provides the adhesion of plates on substrates (concrete and ceramic block masonry, concrete wall and floor, drywall, plaster and mortar subfloor) of internal environments.

the product

DunDun Massa is an exclusive FCC technology. The product originated in the early 80’s and was developed jointly with industry institutions. Massa DunDun provides unparalleled mechanical performance and durability on the market, using nanoparticles organized into structures that ensure optimal distribution of their polymeric compounds. It is a polymer mortar specially developed for the laying of bricks or blocks in the construction of walls.

  • What is the indication of the product?

    DunDun Cerâmica is a component with the function of providing the adhesion of ceramic tiles and porcelain tiles indoors. It can be applied in dry, wettable and wet areas.

  • Which substrates are recommended for application?

    Masonry substrates with concrete and ceramic block, precast concrete, conventional mortar coating (plaster / plaster), concrete floor, drywall and cementitious mortar subfloor. For other substrates, consult our technical team.

  • Basic usage guidelines

    – The substrate surface and the back of the covering plates must be free of any kind of dirt, engobe, oil, grease, paint, efflorescence, concrete sealers or curing additives;
    – If there is accumulated dirt, it should be checked with the technical team, the need to use water blasting, degreasing agent, muriatic acid or other tools to remove debris;
    – The temperature of the entire surface must be between 5ºC and 35ºC;
    – The surface of the substrate and cladding plate must have a maximum difference of 3 mm every 2 m linear;
    – The substrate and coating must be dry, without water;
    – In case of irregular substrates, use larger volumes of the product, according to the manufacturer’s guidelines;
    – If necessary, smooth the substrate with rough or uneven surfaces.

  • What is the yield of the DunDun Ceramic Mass?

    DunDun Ceramics, can yield up to 2.3 kg / m². The material yield is linked to the regularity of the substrate.

  • Application method for coating with dimensions up to 50x50 cm:

    The way to apply the material is with cords approximately 1 cm in diameter, covering the perimeter of the back of the board, at a distance of 1 cm from the edges. Subsequently, strings are applied to the diagonals in the form of X and 4 large circles in the center of the quadrant. The size of the application line depends on the regularity of the surface where the piece will be placed.

  • Application method for all floors and flooring with dimensions greater than 50x50 cm:

    For this case, the way to apply the material is with cords approximately 1 cm in diameter, covering the perimeter of the back of the board, at a distance of 1 cm from the edges. Subsequently, parallel strands are applied, with a separation of approximately 5 cm between them.

  • How long will it take to settle after applying DunDun Cerâmica on the back of the board?

    After the product is applied to the piece, it is necessary to wait 4 minutes before laying. It is recommended to apply the material on the back of six plates, at the end of the application on the back of the last plate, the first plate in which the material was applied and the other plates in sequence are installed, thus the open time of 4 minutes will be respected.
    * in the case of floor covering, it is not necessary to wait for the minimum time, but the maximum time of 4 minutes after application on the piece must be respected.
